Woven Gabion Baskets
Woven mesh gabion boxes are hexagonal, double-twisted wire-mesh structures.The gabion boxes are divided into chambers by inserting diaphragms every meter. The wire used for making the boxes is made of thickly plated mild steel. The gabion units are delivered to the site flat-packed.
The double-twisted mesh connections of the woven mesh prevent the mesh from coming apart if the wire is cut or snaps, in each case the location of the fault is restricted to the neighbouring areas. The units are attached to each other using stitching wire and/or staples.
